300 days of sunshine a year - and what that means for your living happiness
Tell me honestly: how often have you thought in the Netherlands (or Belgium) "If only it were sunny here more often..."? Well, in Denia and its surroundings, that's just the norm. With more than 300 days of sunshine a year, the climate here is almost too good to be true. But trust us: it's real.
What does it do to you?
More sunshine means more outdoor living. You have breakfast on your terrace, work under the parasol and end the day with a glass of wine in your garden. Your mood improves, you move more and you sleep better. Not for nothing do many expats here say: "I just became a different person".

Also good for your home
Houses here are often built for the climate: large terraces, lots of light, and often with swimming pools. Solar panels are popular (logical) and maintenance is often a lot easier than in wetter areas.
Winter? What is that?
The winter months are mild and sunny. During the day it is often still 16-20 degrees, and with a bit of luck you can just have lunch outside in December. For those looking to escape drab grey days in northern Europe: this is paradise.
So yes, the climate here is a big selling point. But it is more than that. It is a way of life. And once you have tasted it, you never want to go back.
