Living like a local: the best spots in Denia, Jávea and Moraira

Living in Spain is more than just sun and sea (although that certainly helps). It's also about atmosphere, cosiness and... food of course. In this blog, we take you through a few local favourites that make living here so much fun.

Denia: culinary paradise

Did you know that Denia is officially UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy? That means: lots of great food! From tapas on the square to Michelin-starred restaurants overlooking the sea. Our tip? Try the local gamba roja - a delicacy they are proud of here. And walk just a little further to El Portet harbour. From here you have a great view of the city and the castle which, by the way, is also highly recommended.

Dénia boasts no fewer than 15 kilometres of sandy beach, located on the northern coastal part known as Las Marinas. In total, the coastline stretches across 20 kilometres, with wide sandy beaches to the north and to the south - at Las Rotas - the characteristic rocky coves and cliffs.

Not for nothing is living or buying a house in Dénia popular with people who want to enjoy sun, sea, gastronomy and an authentic Spanish atmosphere all year round.

Jávea: beach and adventure

Jávea combines the best of both worlds. You will find the beautiful sandy beach of Arenal, as well as a pebble beach where you can relax or take part in various water sports. The atmospheric old town centre, with its white facades, narrow streets and local market, provides a lively and charming atmosphere - perfect for a morning stroll and a café con leche in the sun. And don't forget the beautiful nature: from the port you can walk straight into the Montgó Mountains In.

More and more people are choosing to living in Jávea or buying a house, attracted by the unique combination of nature, atmosphere and quality of life this coastal town has to offer.

Moraira: stylish and relaxed

Moraira is quiet, neat and stylish. Think cosy wine bars, boutiques and atmospheric terraces overlooking the sea. An ideal place for those who like a more chic, but still laid-back vibe. A hidden spot is the golf course terrace overlooking the Peñón de Ifach. Calpe's famous rock.

Those dreaming of an elegant lifestyle on the Costa Blanca will find in Moraira the perfect place to live or buy a holiday home - quiet, sophisticated yet close to everything.

Whether you come to live, hibernate or just fall in love with life here, these spots are guaranteed to make you happy.
